Okay I could see that. But the problem for me is that I don't want to spend $50 or more on something that I might use every once in a while in a few games. Because multiplat games clearly won't be taking much advantage of it since it would cost extra development and money for a minimal gain. And it has to be optional in all games since not everyone will have Natal.
I'm just trying to say that I haven't seen a feature of Natal that makes me go "OMFG! That's so cool. I've neve...
Please tell me because I'm dying to know. All I've seen is tech demos of casual games. So please enlighten me as to what a developer could do with Natal for a hardcore game.
Natal works. I believe all the journalists etc. But all of them are saying it's awesome for boxing and fighting and voice control. I don't want to play those types of games so FOR ME Natal is a useless peripheral. If it's not helping me play games like TPS, FPS, sports games, driving games (and no I don't want to keep my foot resting on it's heel to push a pretend pedal). Like many have said I believe this is still going after the Wii crowd.
So you don't see anything wrong with the 360 only having 6 more exclusives? Let's look at this logically. In 39 months the PS3 has produced 111 exclusives. That's 2.85 exclusives a month. The 360 has 2.29 exclusives a month. The numbers speak for themselves.
If I'm not mistaken the most expensive part of a videogame is the engine. Which is why so many games just pay royalties and use the UE3.
So does anyone else find it weird that a game like Killzone 2 with it's graphics cost less than Halo 3?
I agree. I have no idea where this trend has come from and includes the PSP. Call it the PS3 classic if you must.
Only 6 for MAG. Wow where do these people get off?
I don't think anyone can disagree. Sure each console still has a few respectable 3rd party exclusives. The most recent being Heavy Rain and Mass Effect 2, but there is no denying that the numbers are dwindling. I don't know about "end in sight", but I definitely think it is looming over the horizon.
I agree. I thought this was common knowledge.
You do realize that NPD only accounts for 6 days of sales and not the whole 17 that it has been out, right?
nice reference cranium.
There is nothing wrong with touting your game. Let that settle in. Pretty much EVERY SINGLE GAME is marketed as something awesome by the publisher/developer. That isn't a problem. The problem is saying that it is better than another game. Just make the game as best you can and let the gamers decide!
Ouch! Nvidia get beat by their own technology.
Let me start by saying that I think this is complete BS. You probably know that I am a PS3 fan, there is no denying that. I'm sure you 360 fans are enjoying ME2 and I am happy for you. The problem with this "article" is that it is not fair. I hate RPGs. That includes ME, Fallout, Demon's Souls, FF, etc. As such IMO Uncharted 2 is a better game solely because I enjoy it more.
This whole thing about one game being better than another is wrong, because different people hav...
Still looks like like it's going to be rated M over here.
Google is your friend. BD have steadily dropped over time. You can get a 20 pack for $40, that's only $2 per disc vs. $60 at the store plus a BD writer of course.
Personally I like pretzels. Easy to eat and not greasy at all.
I hope you realize what you just said.
You said that ME2 is a GOTY CONTENDER and that it is superior to UC2 a GOTY WINNER. Do you see the irony in that or am I just crazy?
BTW no hate to ME2. I'm not an RPG guy and I'm downloading it just to see what all the fuss is about. Should I play ME1 first?
Yes, because we all know that Dante's Inferno is such a graphically intense game. /s
Not going to happen.
